About Me
Work is just one part of our lives, so here's a bit more about me.
I have 2 daughters, Nora (4) and Lina (2) that keep me busy outside of work! My partner Anna is a User Researcher at Google (we met in grad school).
Other stuff #
Here are a few of my hobbies I still occasionally have time for. 😉 A more accurate version of these might include: visiting playgrounds, reading bedtime stories, and doing the dishes.
Baking #
I bake a couple loaves of sourdough pretty much every week since it's way better than the bread at our local supermarket. Occasionally the sourdough starter also gets incorporated into things like cinnamon buns, biscuits, waffles, etc.
Pottery #
Honestly... mostly mugs since that always feels like a good size project I can tackle without too much prep and there's still a lot of room for exploration
"Reading" #
Does it still count as reading if I only listen to audiobooks? Here's a representative sample of some of my recent listens.
- The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells
- Creativity, Inc by Ed Catmull and Amy Wallace
- Billy Summers by Stephen King
- Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman
- The Wisdom of Crowds by Joe Abercrombie
- The title makes this sound like a business book. 😅
- The Blade Itself is the first book in the series, and I'd recommend it if you like gritty fantasy.
Boardgames #
Most recently Cartographers Heroes, a competitive map-drawing game.
